July 17, 2018 “Information Clearing House” –  The American backlash against President Trump over his summit with Russian leader Vladimir Putin has been as ferocious as it was predictable.

Every possible vilification has been thrown at him. But it is the slur of Trump as “traitor” that puts this president in grave danger.

Democrats, Republicans, state intelligence pundits, hawkish media, liberal media — all have launched a torrent of attacks on Donald Trump for daring to meet with Putin in Helsinki this week.

The Washington Post accused Trump of “openly colluding with the criminal leader of a hostile power”. Let those extreme words sink in for a moment. The implication is as serious as it can get.

As with other politicians and media outlets, the Post said the president had “betrayed” American intelligence services by siding with President Putin in denying that Russia had interfered in US elections.

Former CIA chief John Brennan denounced Trump as a “traitor” who had “committed high crimes” in holding a friendly summit with Putin.

It can’t get more seditious than that. Trump is being denigrated by almost the entire political and media establishment in the US as a “treasonous” enemy of the state.

Following this logic, there is only one thing for it: the US establishment is calling for a coup to depose the 45th president. One Washington Post oped out of a total of five assailing the president gave the following stark ultimatum: “If you work for Trump, quit now”.

The US political class have cast their verdict that Trump is a state enemy, and are openly calling for a mutiny against the White House.

Trump’s political survival is the balance. Possibly the only thing staying the hands of his enemies for now is their wariness about how the ordinary American citizens would react to a deep state maneuver to overthrow the elected leader.

Despite the torrid hysteria in the US political elite over the meeting with Putin, the mass of American citizens seem rather sanguine about the development. It’s fair to say that many Americans would applaud the attempt by Trump to normalize relations with Moscow. After all, that was one of the main reasons why they voted him into the White House in 2016.

The American political class are agog to get rid of Trump, but they are apprehensive to make a decisive move just yet, because such a gambit to depose the president may engender a wider social revolt against the elites. There is a strong sense that US society is seething from numerous grievances. Poverty and abysmal social inequality as well as popular alienation from the Washington establishment are all too rife for a potential civil war or revolution if stoked too much.

One can anticipate that the media campaign to pillory Trump as a traitor will go into overdrive in the coming days, with the calculation by his powerful enemies within the deep state that public opinion can be turned decisively against him for “betraying America” to a “hostile enemy”. If that manipulation of public opinion is achieved, then Trump is a goner.

Admittedly, Trump has many flaws and much of his foreign policy is in keeping with the usual criminal conduct of American imperialism. But one thing that can be said in his favor is that he is not driven by an irrational Russophobia nor a hellbent determination to have a confrontation with Moscow — unlike many in the US establishment.

Trump is often guilty of peddling fake news himself. But one thing he gets right is his dismissal of the “Russia-gate” narrative as a hoax. The US establishment created that farce as a way to undermine Trump and overturn his intention of normalizing relations with Russia.

For two years, Trump’s political enemies have been flogging the “Russia interfered in our democracy” trope — to no avail. The latest wheeze was the unsubstantiated indictment of 12 Russian military intelligence personnel only days before the Helsinki summit.

To be fair to Trump, he wasn’t dissuaded by that effort to sabotage his summit with Putin. But the trap was set. As soon as the meeting was over in Helsinki, all hell has broken lose in the deep state-controlled US media and politicians, condemning Trump.

Russia’s Putin called the tedious allegations of Russian interference in US democracy “the biggest nonsense ever”. Trump said he agreed with that assessment. Probably many ordinary American citizens also agree that the whole affair has been cooked up by political elites who were never happy with the democratic mandate given to Trump.

Trump is right to reject the so-called US intelligence assessment claiming that Russia under Putin’s orders meddled in the presidential race. Putin told the Helsinki press conference that he wanted Trump to win the election in order to improve bilateral relations. So what? Are foreign leaders not entitled to have opinions on who comes to power in rival countries?

In any case, the US intelligence assessment is not conclusive nor a consensus of all 16 state agencies, as former American ambassador Jack Matlock recently pointed out. In other words, the claim is only partial and far from definitive. It was “politically motivated,” said Matlock, a veteran diplomat.

The American political class is sick. It is suffering from a psychosis that prevents any understanding of reality. It is living in abject denial of reality, convinced of its delusions about Russia being a hostile enemy, and Trump being a “Kremlin stooge”.

The problem for the American establishment is that it doesn’t like the way democracy worked out. The people voted for a candidate who wanted to restore relations with Russia. For the elite, that outcome is unacceptable, and they have tried every dirty trick in the book to overturn the democratic process. Ironically, they claim that Russia tried to subvert American democracy, when it is the effete elite in Washington and the deep state apparatus that are subverting the country’s constitution.

How ludicrous can these people get? An American president holds a long-overdue meeting with the leader of the world’s second nuclear power. The meeting was a success in terms of opening a friendly dialogue between the two leaders. And yet the US ruling class excoriate this event as a “disgrace” and “criminal collusion”.

The interests of ordinary American citizens, as with the mass of people around the world, are not served by irrational hostility towards Russia. It is in our interests to have peaceful dialogue and to develop mutual understanding between the US and Russia to avert confrontations.

It is only an unrepresentative elite who could possibly want hostility. War and conflict is profitable for a tiny few. But this cabal in the US, and among its European allies, driven by Russophobia and war profits, is nevertheless extremely powerful. They control the mainstream media and politicians with their money and intelligence assets.

When the interests of the ruling elite in the US are threatened anything is possible. Assassinations and coups are par for the course for these plutocrats and their agents.

The livid reaction to Trump’s eminently reasonable engagement with Putin this week — a reaction that is vicious and coordinated — is an ominous sign that powerful forces are moving against this president.

Media Refuses to Report on Proven Trump Collusion—Because It’s Not With Russia

In Russia, there are free speech zones, gays are persecuted, and speaking out against the state is often met with police brutality — just ask the activist band Pussy Riot. Vladimir Putin is no hero. That being said, however, on a larger scale, Putin is not attempting to build an empire, he is not destabilizing the Middle East and installing dictators, he’s not funding ISIS, and he tends to resist moves by the globalists that are harmful to the well-being of the Russian people and their money.

Saudi Arabia, on the other hand, is destabilizing the Middle East, they are funding terrorism, they are carrying out the wholesale slaughter of innocence and genocide in Yemen and when it comes to reporting on these crimes, corporate media at large is utterly and irresponsibly silent.

This irresponsible reporting by corporate media has led to a frenzy of disinformation filling the digital airwaves of entirely unprovable Russian collusion in the 2016 election. If the media was so hell-bent on ousting President Donald Trump’s corruption, why then are they only reporting on the non-existent evidence of Trump-Russia collusion while ignoring the mountain of evidence proving his collusion with the largest state sponsor of terrorism in the world?

If corporate media were actually interested in exposing the alleged crimes of Trump, then why are they spending so much time faking headlines and lying about Russia when they could easily expose his ties to terrorists in Saudi Arabia?

Since Trump has gotten into office, he’s proven to America that he has no intention of making America great again. Every step forward he takes, like halting the flow of cash from the CIA to ISIS, he takes several more steps back.

His foreign policy, like that of his predecessors, does not fight terror. In fact, it does the opposite by creating blowback, thus ensuring the future and endless creation of terrorists for years to come.

 

Even if a smoking gun comes out and one day proves that Putin and Trump colluded to steal the election, would it really change anything?

Just like his predecessor, Barack Obama, and just like Clinton would’ve done, Trump cozied up to Saudi Arabia once he got elected and is carrying out the agenda of the neocon deep state dead set on provoking war.

To see how overt this Saudi Trump collusion actually is, we need only look at his stance on Saudi Arabia before he was elected.

While speaking with supporters at a campaign event in Bluffton, South Carolina in 2016, then-Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump said if he is elected “you will find out who really knocked down the World Trade Center.”

“It wasn’t the Iraqis,” Trump said.

“You may find it’s the Saudis.”

Trump was referencing the fact 15 out of the 19 hijackers on 9/11 were from Saudi Arabia. He also, somehow, had knowledge of what was in the 28 pages that would be declassified a few months later in July.

Trump went on to say the government has “papers…that are very secret” which may implicate the Saudis.

Before he was elected, Americans did find out that the 28 pages proved the United States government knew the Saudi Arabian government had a hand in and supported the terrorists who carried out the attacks on 9/11 — and covered it up.

“You will find out,” Trump said.

However, after he was elected, the only thing we’ve found out from Trump in regard to Saudi terrorism is his unwavering and overtly nefarious love of the terrorist nation.

Speaking to the New York Times last year, as the Intercept notes, Trump claimed that, without U.S. support and protection, “Saudi Arabia wouldn’t exist for very long.” The real problem, he continued, was that the Saudis are “a money machine …and yet they don’t reimburse us the way we should be reimbursed.” Asked if he would be willing to “stop buying oil from the Saudis” if they refused to pull their weight, Trump responded: “Oh yeah, sure. I would do that.”

Not surprisingly—he didn’t do that.

After going from implicating them in the worst terror attack ever to take place on US soil, Donald Trump is now best buds with the terrorist regime in Saudi Arabia. In fact, in May, Trump “completed largest single arms deal in US history, negotiating a package totaling more than $109.7 billion.”

Tis quite amazing what being president of the United States can do to a person’s integrity. But those of us who’ve been paying attention saw this coming a mile away. Just like George W. Bush and Barack Obama did, Trump bowed down to his Saudi masters.

While he showed the opposite of collusion with Russia by recommending sanctions against them—a de facto act of war—his collusion with the Saudi regime first became evident during his travel ban earlier this year.

Out of the 43 people who carried out terrorist attacks on US soil, only three of them came from the seven countries on Trump’s list — the other 40 terrorists came from countries who were not banned.

This handful of attacks on American soil hardly justifies restricting the travel from these countries once we look at the countries Trump did not ban — which are responsible for 93% of all terrorism in the United States causing death on a massive scale, including Saudi Arabia.

The majority of the 40 terrorists were from Saudi Arabia, while the others were from Pakistan, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Kyrgyzstan, Kuwait, Nigeria, Afghanistan, Lebanon and Guinea.

As the Free Thought Project previously reported, during his campaign Trump registered eight companies tied to hotel interests in Saudi Arabia alone. And, in 2001, the alleged Saudi-hating Trump sold an entire floor of Trump Tower to the Saudis for $4.5 million.

Trump is openly showing favoritism toward, colluding with, has financial ties to, and sold billions in weapons to the terrorist nation of Saudi Arabia — yet the media still remains focused on unprovable Russian collusion. Make no mistake that this is deliberate.

While the media uses fairy tales of Russian election hacking to distract, Trump is proving to be just like all of his predecessors — fooling people into thinking he’s ‘MAGA’ while bowing down to the military-industrial complex. All the while, his ostensible resistance is rendered impotent by buying into lies deliberately devised to keep them from seeing the reality that he is no different than Obama or Clinton.

Humanity in the modern age, treat celebrities like their predecessors of the old days treated their gods. It seems that human beings have to have something to idolize, look up to, admire, wish to be like or live their lives for.

Celebrities are the new age obsession of modern man, who once built altars and brought offerings to their gods, the modern day devotee (fan) now does the same, purchasing their pictures, videos, music in a frenzied state of wanting to be next to them, if only through a conduit.
The Modern day Priest is the peddler of these New Age Celebrities Gods. They

pose as media moguls, press agents, producers and distributors of the mania that consumes the fans. These modern day idolaters scream, dance, sweat and cry over the “gods” they chose and keep their gods amply supplied with all the modern conveniences, and sometimes so modern, their “gods” can live in full furnished multi-million dollar homes.

Like any religion, the worshipers keep the Gods and their Mediators in power as the devotee depletes his resources just for one more favor or act of kindness towards them. These acts of kindness maybe inclusive of but not exclusive of, autographs, pictures, handshakes, special tokens and VIP seating at a gala affair.

When the devotee sees, reads or experiences the lives of their gods, they are energized living through their imagined world, or lack there of. They are excited by the challenges, the scandals, the lies, the deceit that shrouds their gods, because in order for their god to exist in the world of Celebrities they must face these and many other obstacles of success and/or failure. The Modern day devotee(fan) takes the life of the Celebrity in full scale of it’s own life, moving and progressing along as the God would demand of them. Dare they fall in the disfavor of their Gods or other devotees find them trifling.

Some devotees become so obsessed they will kill for their god, or kill their god itself, destroying its life, history and perchance its effect on any other devotee other than they.
Perhaps this it is a displace madness, an obsession generated by the total lack of self ownership and self power. Perhaps the Celebrities while only temporary give the devotee the moment in time where they can feel overwhelmingly powerful and completely divorced from their miserable lives or completely disconnected from the miserable lives their very Gods live.
It is part of the social construct. Children see parents as gods, infallible and
invincible, and as adults this lifelike onus is given to the Celebrity of their own choosing. In the realm of Celebrity worship, there are no boundaries as anything that would prove disconcerting to another can be hidden in the privacy of the devotees home, away from the scrutiny of any onlooker.
Devotees can get into fierce verbal battles with other devotees of other Gods, and like the Gladiators of old, can fight to the teeth about their particular god and its “well deserved” greatness and power.

Like any usurpation of power handed over freely or forcefully taken, the taker is as much a victim as the giver. The co-dependency of this relationship between the Devotee and the god, keep them inexorably bound to each other creating a life long dance of fierce passion and need to give the each other validation. The concert hall, theater, stadium or fan club is the Church of the Celebrities. The devotees attend these churches religiously and participate in the ritual celebration of their Gods.

The question to me becomes, what is missing from the human psyche that such props are needed? How has humanity come to this? And what is missing inside of the human being that this type of attribution of power is needed to be given to an “Idol” or object of their devotion. How is it that the social construct supports and promotes this type of mania?
I would suggest, that it is part of the overall Social Engineering of the masses to seek help, guidance and support outside of themselves instead of being sovereign and responsible from within themselves. I would suggest that for the many many thousands of years that humanity has inhabited this planet, there is something missing, something so intangible that it created a void that needed to be filled.
The Ancient Gods seemed to have left its creation behind, to squander and wallow

in the abyss, a fog, the unknown and sometimes predatory environment called Planet Earth. In man’s quest to find security, he re-invented gods, the gods he barely remembered, who seem to be there to take care of him. After reinventing these Gods, certain men became empowered by their connection to these gods, relegating the rest of the masses to the position of devotee. He set up positions of governance over these devotees, promising to bring the messages of the gods back to them, pure and direct.  He selected special devotees who would have just a little bit more than all the others. Then, he created powerful armies to protect these re-invented gods, along with fables, myths and legends of the Greatness of these gods. They became Super Heroes with super powers and abilities beyond what any human could even imagine having.

He also created an economy, one that would support the enormous army that he needed to keep his re-invention secure from attack.
He created massive imposing structures to his gods as if in a competition to prove his god’s greatness over another. He also performed rituals and sacrifices to these Gods so that they could be happy and continue to support and protect them from harm.
What he did not realize, is that he was and is the gods he created. The Gods of Old

did not shared that secret, but enjoyed the adulation they received from the ignorant masses. They played on the innocence, the ignorance and in some cases, the fear of the masses.

The old gods were magnificent, in comparison to their human devotees. But they were fractured, imperfect, unpredictable, and flawed, just like their devotees were. They must have come from a world where this imbalance existed, or they would have never allowed the masses to worship them in the first place.

So, in their absence, man has continued to build enormous structures, war machines, economies, myths, fables and legends to keep their re-inventions alive. It is only through the projection of power onto the gods, that the gods have any power at all and man seems to have lost the “I AM” knowledge.

Nowadays, the Celebrities hold the same position as the ancient Gods. However, they are only as important, magnificent, powerful as their devotees deem them to be. If every fan decided not to worship these people, they would disintegrate and fall from the pedestals (shrines) that were created for them. The idolatry of another human being would cease and man would be challenged with finding the God within.

If you stop and think about it, the former Obama campaigns and the current Trump campaign share much in common. Pretty simple, but somehow we keep missing it.
In the case of Trump, it’s all about his brash-sticking-it-to-the-man rhetoric. Another piece of breaking news – Trump did not get where he is by sticking it to people in power. Trump is where he is because he effectively cuts deals with people in power. Much like Sprint’s stick-it-to-the-man commercial; do you really think Trump’s going to stick it to himself?
And for those liberals who don’t think that pledging allegiance to Obama is enough for their rock god/messiah, well, they can do like Madonna did last night and strip for him during a DC concert.

NB Commentary: The resurgence of this issue is a smoke screen, everybody already knows that the certificate is a fraud at worse and has been tampered with at best! That’s why he had to kill Osama bin Laden again to cover it up.
This is a distraction away from PizzaGate and pedophilia which is a much more heinous crime and is world wide and goes all the way to the top.
Frankly, these folks will throw Obama under the bus if it means saving their asses from being exposed as part of a worldwide pedophile ring.

How many times have the issues and concerns around child trafficking and pedophilia and Satanic ritual abuse been presented to the public, and as soon as the debate and investigations reach a fever pitch, out comes some other distraction to steer the crowd onto another topic of interest.
They spent a great deal of time side tracking the Podesta emails. Election fraud, fake news, Russian Hackers, China’s gearing up, protests against Trump’s election, and now, the infamous birther issue which ironically, Trump brought to the forefront of the American people’s mind, then he dismissed it and now it’s back up again.

What will he say? Is this still another ploy to discredit Trump and question his integrity?
Or, like always, is this just another decoy, to steer the publics’ attention from the despicable corruption that is intrinsic in the offices of world government and the Vatican.
Again, every body already knows that the certificate is illegitimate for the simple fact that it has been tampered with. If you or I tampered with our birth certificate we would be in big trouble, right? It would quickly delegitimize us and forget about that great job offer!
Nobody has time to impeach him and reverse all of his laws and executive orders he put in place. He will slide right out of view, just like Bush, and will probably be pardoned like Bush was too if they do find anything on him. These war criminals look out for their own.
It is obvious that Obama and Hillary are of no use to the Powers that Shouldn’t be.

So yeah, this is mute and really no big deal unless they want to derail it by pushing the red button.

NB Commentary: There’s a certain glue that African families have. It also can be seen in other indigenous families and other families that do not purport the Nuclear family option as opposed to the extended family option.

African people from my experience are very passionate about their families ties and when a member of the family dies they are very, very heart broken. If they do not live where their family member lives or are unable to go there, they will mourn for days and days and days.
The family members no matter how rich or poor will do so much to get that person buried, particularly if they are an elder. The respect they have for their elders is very, very high. (Comments continued below the video)

In an industrialize nation it may be hard to understand this sentiment, but in some cases, the Aunt in Africa is like your other Mother, she cares for you like you are born from her. In Ghana, your Uncle is your father in the same way.
So, knowing what I know about Africa, how they feel about families and especially about the death of an elder in the family, I can understand Malik Obama expressing himself the way he does. He is hurt in a way we cannot understand in the west because our culture does not strengthen family ties, it does not encourage extended families and most often both parents are away working, and the children are not raised by the elders they are raised by daycare and teachers.

It probably cost $20k to move his Aunt’s body from the US to Kenya. All the preparations that would have to take place for them to gather her remains and then send them via airlines to Kenya and then to have her burial take place there.
I can assure you that when her body did arrive, they felt the grief as if it were yesterday even though it was weeks after she died. That’s just how they are.
I am sure that there was a time with all peoples across the globe, when humans were less materialistic and capitalistic, that they mourned their family members similarly, but today, the chasm between the way indigenous people feel about their families has broaden extensively.

The notion of extended families, polygamy, eldership are slowly wearing away as the industrialized world removes these ties and sentiments and replace them with the attrition of things, wealth, and notoriety.  Human life and even the Earth itself seems to have lost its value and purpose. Wars are waged with no consideration of the innocents and families devastated by it. Powerful governments walk over families, homes and infrastructure like Godzilla and leaving disaster in its wake does not stir the heart of this beast.

Watching Malik Obama, I could see that he has much pain in his heart. I can only imagine what it must feel like to even consider that he, his family, his village and his country could have possibly been used for a hidden agenda that propelled Barack Obama into the White House in 2008.

Tamron Hall Just Ripped Scott Baio To Shreds (Video)

When it comes to Donald Trump supporters, it’s become pretty clear what you’re gonna get. They’re either people too dumb to tie their own shoelaces, or they’re jerks who embrace racism, misogyny, and the need to prove their manhood.
Enter Scott Baio.
Baio sat down with Tamron Hall on her MSNBC show while at the Republican National Convention. Hall pressured him to answer why he would post a photo on Twitter of Hillary Clinton in front of the word “c*nt” and then continue to call himself a good Christian.
The former TV star could quite literally be seen talking out of both sides of his mouth, both defending his use of the image, but also claiming it was all in innocent fun. It was quite the sight to behold.
When Baio tried to put words in Hall’s mouth claiming that she was somehow trying to make things about race, she perfectly came back at him, as she should, by saying:
“I do this for a living. You can’t chop my words up.”
Baio then laughs at her and gives a nod to the all white Trump crowd behind them who was cheering him on as if to say, “can you believe this chick?” You could smell the misogyny through the television screen.
This doesn’t stop Hall, though. She kept the pressure on the washed-up television star, and kept pointing out the fact that he’s a hypocrite who claims to have higher moral standing as a supposed Christian, even though he tweets out images of Hillary in front of the word “c*nt” and disparaging photos against First Lady Michelle Obama.
Hall also pressures Baio to reveal that if Trump were to shoot someone in the middle of 5th Avenue, as the candidate previously said he could and still win, if he would still support him. A question that he couldn’t answer, but seemed to insinuate he would.
Baio tries and tries to come back at Hall, but she kept brilliantly slapping him down, even pointing out that Baio has blocked her on Twitter, which forced him to say it was a mistake and he’s “not afraid of anyone.”
All in all, it was a spectacular takedown of the former ‘Happy Days’ star, and she deserves an award for even needing to be in the same airspace as that guy.

After effortlessly roasting people like Ted Cruz and Bernie Sanders, Barack Obama ended his speech at the White House Correspondents Dinner the way we all wished he would, with a presidential mic drop so powerful that Donald Trumpcould feel the impact blow off his hair system from hundreds of miles away.
This immediately iconic mic drop came after the most earnest moment in his speech, where he thanked the correspondents for “working to push to shine a light on the truth” and helping him “strengthen democracy.” “With that I have just two more words to say,” he prefaced the move, “Obama out.” Then he dropped that mic like it was the Cuba embargo.
The moment had been a long time coming, as his final year in office has seen a change in him that supporters have pushed for since 2008. Whether it was asking if “folks want to pop off,” getting Game of Thrones screeners sent to him early, inviting everyone’s favorite rappers to the White House, or getting coffee with Jerry Seinfeld while still doing his duties as commander in chief, Obama has been living his last year with swagger.
It is a bittersweet moment to see President Obama give us a GIF that is the ultimate sign off knowing that whoever comes after him will have big shoes to fill, in the comedy department at the very least. In a highlight from his speech, Obama subtlety gives an idea of who he thinks is our next president by saying, “Next year at this time, someone else will be standing here in this very spot, and it’s anyone’s guess who she will be.

What gets me with all this is how they conveniently link folks in people’s families who are connected to other folks, yet, when it comes to pointing a finger at the Bush Family, mums the word. The Bush’s became presidents when their father/grandfather colluded with the Nazi’s. And I could state other examples of how, folks look the other way when it’s convenient and point fingers when it’s convenient.
Then it’s the, “we are non-profit” we don’t get direct funding from blah, blah, blah, but when they want to finger so-called terrorist groups and their funders, depending on who they are that is, they go down the rabbit hole, and anyone even remotely associated with them is suspect.
It’s hypocrisy, and double standards that is all pervasive. One rule for those in power and another rule for those in power and still another rule for those who are not part of the “in-crowd”
Can somebody tell me why my bullshit barometer went off? What’s up with this guy and his evasiveness?

The Rise of the American-Muslim Totalitarian State

NB Commentary: When the now President Obama was running for election back in 2007 he made a lot of promises and gave people the adage that Hope and Change were in the offing. It was time and “Yes, We Can” rang out through the media and the entertainment world took it up and splattered every media outlet with this adage. I even remember myself feeling anxious about the election and wondered if he really would win. He appeared to be anti-everything that his predecessor was openly for.
Now, years later, we see that there has been very little Hope and even less change.

What struck me most was shortly after he was elected when he was asked if you would bring charges against the Bush administration for war crimes.  Before and during Mr. Obama’s campaign there had been a ground swell and a very strong movement for Bush’s impeachment that reached Congress and Congressman Dennis Kucinich, read a long list of grievances against the Bush administration. But when Obama was asked the question, he said, and I loosely quote him here, “Let’s move forward, and not backward.”  To me that was a key statement of what direction he would take his administration and it certainly would not be “away” from what was already taking place in the White House and the administration of the US government.

People didn’t seem to be moved by this. Code Pink had been bought and sold on the bribery market and their efforts for the cessation of war pretty much muted. With brand new offices in DC, they were closer to the new President, but having succumb to the belief that Hope and Changehad arrived and that wars would end and that Guantanamo would close, they became part of the mainstream. In fact, if they show up now, they appear lifeless, pointless and powerless to keep the Peace Movement moving in any direction.
Now we are looking at more war theaters than ever before, or shall I be more honest here and say that the theaters have hit the main page of the news instead of being on the back page under the classified ads. The Wars going on in the so-called middle east, have been going on since before the Clinton administration. The idea of gaining a stronghold in Africa far preceded our current president. It’s just that now, with Social Media, and massive access to the news from around the world.. We can see what is really going on. Something that the indigenous people of the nations that the US and NATO have been bombing for decades already knew.
I also quivered at the outright about face turn that the US made towards Syria who in days of old was a part of the extraordinary rendition program and were holding so-called terrorists in their prisons. Now the US wants to overthrow the Assad regime, a once staunch ally of the US. It begs to question what the hidden agenda is when the US makes these allies and you just have to wonder, when the alliance with the US will come back to haunt them with bombs, drones, airstrikes, invasions and stealth operations to acquire their once friend’s, resources.

And now, we have the Islamic Boogie Man. The epitome of all that is evil. Branded on 911 and blamed for the incredulous, they have become the bane of Western Society, even if the statistics show quite the contrary. A war on terror has been initiated and now every Muslim is suspect. Your friendly neighborhood donut maker and soda seller is a possible terrorist, despite the fact that they are US citizens also seeking the Mom’s Apple Pie of the American Dream. Quite frankly, the American Dream has become a nightmare for those law abiding Muslim citizens who want for their families every right that every other human being deserves. The right to live in peace and work towards a better tomorrow. In the face of this tyranny, the eye is skewed towards the threatening so-called Muslim terrorist and with a broad brush all Muslims are suspect while the crimes perpetrated against American men, women and children is done by home grown terrorists with no Islamic affiliation whatsoever. Why is this possible, how is it possible? The biggest culprit is mainstream media. They decide who will be hated and who will be adored, whether the object of our ire/affection is deserved or not. Let’s just hope that predator drones are not launched against American citizens, presumed to be Muslim extremist because quite frankly, these Muslims do not live on an island separated from the rest of humanity. They are among us and a drone strike will not be able to tell the difference.

Muslim-Americans are living in a totalitarian police state with worsening harassment, profiling, and surveillance. The United States’ government may claim liberty and justice for all; however, in practice, towards Muslims, it exhibits all four major characteristics of a totalitarian state: a war on terror that targets Muslims abroad, a totalitarian police state at home, public executions by drones and gulags outside the rule of law, and a strong reliance on propaganda and political demagoguery.

The hallmark of fascism was state oppression of certain targeted non-privileged groups. Today, Muslims are bearing the brunt of America’s totalitarian police state.
Despite FBI records showing that since 9/11, Muslims have committed far less domestic terror attacks than white supremacists, it is the American-Muslim community that is under unprecedented levels of surveillance and government intrusion. Muslims in America are unquestionably experiencing a fascist system of surveillance, operating at the same level that East Germans faced under the Stasi spy agency. Researcher, Arun Kundnani, has shown how the FBI has one counterterrorism spy for every 94 Muslims in the U.S., which approaches Stasi’s ratio of one spy for every 66 citizens.
Clearly racism, as much as oil, fuels the War on Terror. White Christians rarely have to worry that an undercover agent or informant has infiltrated their churches, student organizations or neighborhoods. The simple fact that U.S. law enforcement has not infiltrated and spied on conservative Christian communities to disrupt violent rightwing extremism, which is the biggest terrorism threat in America, confirms what Muslims in American know in their bones: to worship Allah is to be suspect.
Federal judges recently ruled that suspicion-less surveillance of Muslims is permissible under the U.S. Constitution. The NYPD has admitted that Mosques, student groups, restaurants, even grade schools, have all been under surveillance. By rapidly increasing both government policies of secrecy and surveillance, Mr. Obama’s government is increasing its power to watch its citizens, while diminishing its citizens’ power to watch their government.
The threat of homegrown Islamic terrorism has been largely manufactured, so that the so-called War on Terror can promote multi-billion dollar, corporate-sponsored militarism abroad and the erosion of two hundred-year-old civil liberties at home.
Muslim-Americans are not only facing increasing oppression from the state, but they are also facing growing prejudice from their fellow countrymen, as hate crimes and civil liberty violations against Muslims continue to precipitously rise.
A recent Pew Forum Poll established that Muslims are by far the most disliked minority in America. According to FBI statistics, anti-Muslim hate crimes soared by an astounding 50 percent last year. Muslims constitute 1 percent of the U.S. population, but they are 13 percent of the victims of religious-based hate crimes. Islamophobia and xenophobia now seem as American as apple pie. Intolerance of Muslims is often inverted, depicting Muslim customs as an insult to Western customs.
One major aspect of American totalitarianism, shared by fascist regimes, is the nation’s enormous military budget. In 1933, Nazi Germany’s military spending was 2 percent of their national income; by 1940, it was 44 percent.
Today, America spends more on her military than the rest of the world combined. America has expanded its military into having 662 foreign military bases, according to the Department of Defense’s 2010 Base Structure Report. The War on Terror has cost $6 trillion, the equivalent of $75,000 for every American household, calculates Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government.
Another hallmark of totalitarianism is the creation of a prison system outside the rule of law that is largely designed to imprison and torture one minority group. The Guantanamo Bay gulag is unquestionably a crime against humanity. There is unlimited cruelty in a system that seems to be unable to free the innocent and unable to punish the guilty.
In April 24, 1934, a People’s Court, just like Guantanamo was established, which also bypassed the judicial system: prisoners were held indefinitely in isolation and were tortured and subjected to show trials. The People’s Court was signed into law by Adolf Hitler.

In 2007, a politician who was vehemently against the human rights abuses at Guantanamo Bay, explained what he would do about the torture camp if he ever became President:

“When I am President, I will close Guantanamo. It is a moral outrage, a blight upon America’s conscience. It is the location of so many of the worst constitutional abuses in recent years. From inception, Guantanamo was a laboratory for unlawful military interrogation, detention, and trials.”
The politician who uttered these words was Senator Barack Obama. Ironically, under President Obama’s tenure, conditions for Guantanamo detainees, from both a physical and legal standpoint, have become markedly worse.
Public executions are perhaps one of the most overt and odious symbols of totalitarianism. In totalitarian Spain, under General Franco, mass public executions were the norm, and were often carried out in bullrings or with band music and onlookers dancing in the victims’ blood. With Hitler and Mussolini supplying arms to Franco, some 200,000 men and women were publically executed during the war and bombed from overhead.

Nowadays, drones are the ultimate totalitarian technology. Washington both uses drones for what amount to public extra-judicial executions of Muslims abroad, and for spying on American Muslims at home.

Most Americans believe that drones are targeted and therefore humane. Nothing could be further from the truth. By all accounts, drones have killed more children than terrorists. According to a new report from The Intercept, nearly 90 percent of people killed in drone strikes in Afghanistan are civilians.
By 2018, some privacy experts believe law enforcement will likely control over 35,000 drones that the government will use to monitor Americans from the skies.
Integral to the rise of the America Muslim Totalitarian State is propaganda. Sheldon Wolin has poignantly pointed out that, whereas the production of propaganda was crudely centralized in Nazi Germany, in the United States, it is left to highly concentrated media corporations, thus maintaining the illusion of a “free press”.
The American propaganda machine is highly sophisticated. It does not rely upon the radio addresses, speeches, and leaflets disseminated by the Nazi Ministry of Propaganda and Public Enlightenment, nor does it rely on the crude censorship or harassment of free press ordered by a Politburo. The propaganda of America’s “one percent” is subtle yet pervasive; it relies not only on government diktats but also on the mass media, art, pop culture and Hollywood.

American cinema and music have always been a remarkably effective means of whipping up xenophobic wartime sentiment. For example, the highest grossing war film in history, American Sniper, and President Obama’s favorite television show, Homeland, both engage in an overly broad generalization of Islam, and depict Muslims and terrorists in a way that is indicative of widespread Islamophobia in American culture.

The American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee reported a spike in Islamophobia and hate crimes after the release of American Sniper, which culminated in the recent slaying of three young Muslims in North Carolina, who were shot in the head sniper execution style. American Islamophobia operates in the service of American militarism and American militarism abroad, and in turn, ratchets up Islamophobia against minorities at home.
The media determines our language, our language shapes our thoughts, and our thoughts determine our actions. Language is the fulcrum of a society’s perception. Whosoever controls the public’s language, controls the public’s perception.
The corporate elites who sit on media editorial boards control said language. In 1983, fifty companies owned ninety percent of U.S. media. Today, only six media giants control a staggering ninety percent of what the American public listens to, reads, and watches. “Think of the press as a great keyboard on which the government can play,” once remarked Joseph Goebbels, Nazi Germany’s Minister of Propaganda.
For Muslim-Americans the media’s Orwellian totalitarian language is clear: Drones are Unmanned Aerial Vehicles. Torture is Enhanced Interrogation. Occupation is Liberation.
Donald Trump’s recent call to ban Muslims from entry into the U.S. is not without

precedent. The Chinese Exclusion Act of 1882 effectively banned all Chinese immigration to the US. This racist law remained in place for five decades and required all Chinese to carry identification certificates or face deportation. When Trump endorsed identification cards to be worn at all times by American Muslims, his popularity jumped almost 3 percentage points. If Donald Trump’s policies are viewed by Americans as odious and un-American, then why has he consistently gained popularity after every anti-Muslim outburst?

America’s history is stock full of totalitarianism and popularized, irrational fear of “the other”. It began when the settler pioneers feared Native Americans and united against them by slaughtering millions in order to quell that fear. As settlers began to unite around a common identity they feared the British Monarchy and rebelled against it. Americans then fought against Mexico, France and various other countries for vast land control. Five hundred documented revolts on slave ships and the fact that plantation owners were greatly outnumbered by slaves, cemented the role of fear that perpetuated slavery for centuries. With greater fear comes greater violence, and with greater violence comes a greater need to justify that violence by ratcheting up the fear.
After the attacks on Pearl Harbor, Japanese Americans were forced into interment camps on American soil. Vietnamese Americans were then targets of xenophobia in America during the Vietnam War, and then there was the “Red Scare”, which targeted Russian-Americans throughout the Cold War.
From the ashes of the Soviet Union arose the terrorists from the oil-rich Middle East, who became America’s new number one enemy and so the legacy of American xenophobia continues. Today, as the deliberately unending war on terror rumbles on abroad, Muslim, Arab, and Sikh Americans fear that they are living in a totalitarian state.
