The Cosby Saga, Pt 4: June 15, 2017 The Jury Deadlock
Excerpt: “NORRISTOWN, Pa. — The jury in the Bill Cosby sexual assault trial is still at an impasse — after some 40 hours of deliberations over four days — but they’re returning Friday for a fifth day of trying to reach a unanimous verdict.
Judge Steven O’Neill sent the seven men and five women of the jury, clearly fatigued, back to the hotel for the night around 9 p.m.; they will return Friday at 9 a.m. to try again.
“Nine o’clock  is long enough to be debating for this day,” O’Neill said, as he sent the jurors off.
Then, curiously, the judge and the attorneys had a private meeting. After a few minutes, they and the  jury returned to the courtroom. Many of the jurors were frowning.
The judge addressed the panel, saying he did not want to “intrude on deliberations,” but “if there is anything you need me to know, you will let the court know….I just want to be clear where we are right now.” O’Neill, like the jury, appeared tired from another 12-hour day.”

Excerpt: “After 30-plus hours of deliberation, jurors in the Bill Cosby criminal sexual assault trial have been instructed by the judge to try again after telling him Thursday morning that they are deadlocked.
In other words, they cannot come to an agreement on a verdict. And in Cosby’s case, jurors told Judge Steven O’Neill at Montgomery County Courthouse in Norristown, Pa., that they “cannot come to a unanimous consensus on any of the counts.” Cosby is charged with three counts of aggravated indecent assault in connection with a 2004 encounter with Andrea Constand.
Shortly after reconvening the court upon receiving the jury’s news early Thursday, O’Neill directed them to try again. The news about the deadlock, or lack of consensus, was predicted by some experts as deliberations extended for days.
However, observers also are not surprised by the judge’s latest directions.

Excerpt: “NORRISTOWN, Pa. (AP) — Bill Cosby’s trial raced toward a close Monday, June 12, with his lawyer telling the jury that the comedian and the woman who accuses him of drugging and molesting her were lovers who had enjoyed secret “romantic interludes.”

Declining to take the stand in his own defense, the 79-year-old TV star left it to his attorney to argue that Cosby’s 2004 sexual encounter with Andrea Constand was consensual. Lawyer Brian McMonagle said in his closing argument that while Cosby had been unfaithful to his wife, he didn’t commit a crime.”

Is Racial Bias a Factor In Cosby Jury Selection? (Videos)

NB Commentary: Personally, I don’t think it’s about race. I am sure they will be hard pressed to find a jury that either didn’t hear about the allegations or never heard of Bill Cosby. I mean next to Oprah and Barack Obama, what other internationally known Black person have we heard of coming out of Hollywood especially during those days. Not to mention his TV series and commercials. If anything, folks will be more lenient even tolerant or maybe even disbelieving in the allegations due to his notoriety.

It’s about Hollywood, it’s about being a part of the shenanigans that go on in Hollyweird. It’s about how they chose certain folks to be “Super Stars” and how they exploit them once they agree to being chosen. It’s about the promises that are made to them and what they have to do to still be a part of the game. It’s about the parties, the backroom deals, the wine, women and song. And may I add, drugs and other nefarious goings on that happen in Hollyweird. Eddie Murphy said something to the effect, that it’s hard to get out of Hollywood clean.

Back in the day, much of the stuff that went on in Hollyweird was hidden from the public, nowadays, there are a plethora of articles, documents and YouTube videos that tell the story of what happens in Hollywood. Bill Cosby was chosen to play a role and as long as he played that role, he was able to do whatever he did. I strongly believe he decided he didn’t want to play ball anymore. Not sure what ball they threw his way, but for sure, these folks in Hollyweird make you an offer you can’t refuse.. Or you go down and it’s just that simple. It ain’t about race, it’s about the game. If you are gonna be a player, then you gotta play…. Or else.

PITTSBURGH (AP) — With just one Black person seated among the first 11 jurors chosen for Bill Cosby’s sexual assault trial, defense lawyers are crying foul and accusing prosecutors of trying to systematically keep Blacks off the jury.
The lawyers returned to court on Wednesday in Pittsburgh to pick a 12th juror and six alternates. Cosby arrived Wednesday just before 8 a.m.
For now, Judge Steven O’Neill has rejected the race bias argument.
Prosecutors said race was not a factor in their decision to strike two Black women from the panel this week. They said one was a former Pittsburgh police detective who sued the city after she was arrested in a public scandal.
O’Neill pledged to revisit the issue if defense lawyer Brian McMonagle, who had accused prosecutors of “a systematic exclusion of African-Americans,” presented statistical evidence to back that up.
The 100 people summoned to the Allegheny County courthouse for juror consideration so far have included 16 people of color. A new jury pool will be summoned on Wednesday.
The jurors selected on Tuesday included a Black woman who said she knew only “basic information” about the case, a young white man who initially expressed a tendency to believe police and two people who said they don’t read or watch the news.
The jury now consists of seven men and four women — all but one of them white — in a case that Cosby has said may have racial undertones.
The actor-comedian once known as America’s Dad for his beloved portrayal of Dr. Cliff Huxtable on “The Cosby Show” is charged with drugging and molesting a Temple University women’s basketball team manager at his home near Philadelphia in 2004. He has called the encounter consensual. Dozens of other women have made similar accusations against Cosby, 79, but O’Neill is allowing only one of them to testify at the June 5 trial in suburban Philadelphia. The jury from Pittsburgh will be sequestered nearly 300 miles from home.
Cosby, in an interview last week, said race could be a motivating factor in the accusations against him.
“Race plays a role in every trial, but it shouldn’t eclipse … the evidence,” Loyola Law School professor Laurie Levenson said. “This case is frankly more about gender, celebrity, how women are treated [and] Bill Cosby’s credibility. But race may take a more focused perspective because the defense has [raised it] recently.”
The trial will take place in Montgomery County, where Cosby had invited Andrea Constand to his home in 2004. Constand said she went seeking career advice. She said Cosby gave her wine and pills that put her in a stupor before molesting her on his couch. Constand was 30 and dating a woman at the time, while Cosby was 66 and long married to wife Camille. Cosby in sworn testimony has said he put his hand down Constand’s pants but said she did not protest.
Cosby has said he does not expect to testify.
The Associated Press does not typically identify people who say they are the victims of sexual assault unless they come forward, as Constand has done.
Cosby was arrested Dec. 30, 2015, just days before the 12-year statute of limitations expired. He has pleaded not guilty and remains free on $1 million bail.

The Cosby Saga: Introduction (Videos)

NB Commentary: Bill Cosby is about to be back in the news. After a little over a year or so, the media attention will be focused on him once again. Unless of course they give us something else to focus on. Which is quite likely.

I am going to create a video playlist… and hopefully I won’t get too distracted from this project. But I have written several blogs on this topic and I wish to share my thoughts with you on some of the topics that I covered in my blog.
This is a weird adventure for me because I actually met Bill Cosby. In fact, I have never been given to the star mania, but there were a handful of “stars” who derived the allure from me that most others did not, so when I met him, I was overwhelmed and practically became faint. He had become a household word in my life as a young teenager and young adult. He was a black man that I listened to. His comedy albums were something that you cherished.
Back then to even purchase one album was a sign of having some significant income, not too mention having a library of albums by various artist and entertainers. 
I grew up around the Red Fox, Richard Pryor and several other “foul” mouthed comedians who were only played at adult parties. It was awesome to listen to a black man, make us laugh and be able to do it in the light and around children and family members.
We would sit on our steps on summer nights and mimic his routine. Most of us had never even seen him in person but we knew his albums by heart and we would sound like him at least.
There was one youth on our block who was so funny, before he started mimicking Cosby, that when he added Cosby to his repertoire, he was even more funny and he kept us laughing till we shed tears and other bodily fluids.
So, it is definitely disheartening to have this man, a superstar in our eyes back then and an icon, AKA America’s dad in the eyes of the more contemporary folk.
The great thing about age is that you were there when it happened. And then again, you find out as you get older, that you were not really there on some levels, particularly if they were covering up and had hidden agendas.

All we knew back then was that he was a black man and he was funny as hell and that he didn’t curse and he talked about his life and family to such a degree that we could all relate to it, especially since we were from Philadelphia.
What we did not is the Hollywood drama. We did not know the shenanigans that went on behind the scenes. We were not privy to the real Cosby and what he had to do to become the “icon” or “America’s Dad”. We did not know any of that. And it is so true today, that many folks have no clue of what happens behind the scenes when it comes to the folks they adore, the stars they emulate and even want to be like. They have no clue as to what has to happen to these stars or even what happened to them before they became entertainers.
Today, we have the Internet. In the 50’s and 60’s we had black and white televisions and lp’s and 45’s. We had one or two papers in the neighborhood.  We had Jet Magazine, Sepia and Ebony. There were few publications that catered to the Black community so we got our news from Time, Newsweek, Look and sometimes Reader’s Digest.  None of these publications would talk openly about what went on behind the scenes in Hollywood. And if so, it would be inferred or in fiction form. Every once in a while a brave reporter would go deep into a story and tell all, but still those stories were syndicated and only written in certain news outlets and magazines. In those days we had word of mouth or gossip in some cases about the stars, but if it was about someone we favored, we would blow it off as jealousy.
Nowadays, the wealth of information and the ability to gain more and more of it, is sometimes overwhelming, and while you may want to get your hands on it all, it is virtually impossible to do so, so you have to pick and focus and stay focused.
What I wish to do with this video series is discuss the some many tentacles that are part of the Cosby Saga.
I will start with this article from Atlanta Black Star.

  • Then I will talk about Camille Cosby.

  • I want to talk about his age and career, and what the implications are if convicted or not.
  • I want to talk about Enis, his son and the mystery still surrounding it.
  • I hope that I can stay focused enough to get through this all.

NB Commentary: So let’s talk about Jake Tapper and Keith Olbermann and the issue of the “Independent” news not being welcomed in the White House.  Jeez Louis, the Mainstream Muppets are having a heart attack because Trump doesn’t want to keep company with them.
You know what gets me more than anything is the BS hypocrisy that goes on especially these days since the Trumpster became President.
Just think about it. Even the Press conferences are staged. So Jake Tapper is having a hissy fit cause he can’t ask his already approved questions, and Kellyanne is not Olbermann’s favorite mouthpiece for the establishment.
What is wrong with these people? Do they really live in the twilight zone or is it me, I am in the twilight zone.
How do you walk through life and never see the light, I mean, they call us sheeple and easily lead, but I got a funny feeling it ain’t us as much as it’s them.
How do you sit in front of a teleprompter and parrot words pasted across the screen and then call yourself “Independent”? 

Somebody wake me up cause this is really gotta be a dream. I mean you sit there day in and day out parroting what the producer has presented to you. You don’t come in there with your own thoughts, if you did you would get fired! You are an actor, your stage is your anchor desk and your audience is on the other side of the camera. What exactly is free or independent about that? Why are you trying to claim that you are independent yet just a few weeks ago, you were peddling a list of “Fake News” outlets who are truly much more independent then you are!
Do you realize that you folks are own by 6 major corporations? Do you read the stamp on your paycheck, or maybe you just get direct deposit.

How on God’s green earth can CNN, NBC, MSNBC or any of those other alphabet news outlets consider themselves independent and yet not a single one of them could see that Trump was going to win?
I don’t think you all are real. You all must be holograms or something, just light fixtures because you certainly are not independent and you do not tell the truth and you ain’t even alternative.

You are stomping and crying and lying because folks don’t wanna listen to you anymore, they are tired of your lies and you are feeling a little scared about your paycheck, that’s what I think. You ain’t mad at Trump, you’re afraid you may no longer be needed.

Well let me tell you something, don’t come trying to hang out with us. Cause we are gonna be very suspicious of you wanting to tell the truth after all these years and years of lying. So forget about infiltrating us and promising us spots on your podcasts, we don’t want it. We don’t trust you anymore and calling yourself “independent” just put the nail in the coffin. You either think we are stupid, or you must be because we over here, we know who signs your paycheck.
Many of us don’t get paid no where near what we are worth for questioning the
official narrative, and some of us don’t get paid at all, meanwhile, you all are bringing in millions just to sit there and parrot what flies across your teleprompter or what is slid in across your desk while you are in the make-up room. You have made so many slip ups and mistakes it ain’t funny and you seldom if ever make a retraction, like “yo, my faithful audience out there, I was an asshole when I said that yesterday, and I knew it was wrong but I said it anyway, please forgive me”. No you just go right ahead, like you never pissed on us and call it rain. I stopped watching you all anyways, even Amy Goodman has lost my vote, cause once you go mainstream, it’s a wrap.
I just want you all to know that that list of “Fake News” you all so helpfully put out, was a serious bust, because some of those outlets are where I get my real news from.
You guys in MuppetStreamMedia, are simply actors. Maybe, after you are driven out of the MSM because of lost of revenues, you could try out for Hollyweird. You shouldn’t have no trouble, the same scoundrels that run the Media, Hollyweird too, so you should feel quite comfortable. And besides, you won’t have to pay for acting school, you are already well seasoned actors.
It just galls me when these folks start crying. They are the ones who went to war with alternative news calling it fake news. They are the ones peddling a narrative of anarchy and now that Trump doesn’t want you  in his house, you want to cry it’s un-American. For real, really..  Un-American?

Yep. Cause every time you vote you co-sign the madness. You can’t say not in my name if you sign on the dotted line. This system needs an overhaul. Every time you vote you are supporting the liars and criminals. 
I know that folks will continue to vote. The American voter is an enabler with a severe case of cognitive dissonance.  So they will continue to do the same thing over and over thinking things will change, their voice will be heard when time and time again it has shown them otherwise.

They vote against their interests over and over again. They vote for known liars and deceivers but they feel they should vote.
They see that their votes are stolen miscounted or not counted at all. 
They see the governments, city, state and local redistricting their towns and cities to garner more votes for those the big hats have selected.

They see campaign promises reneged on over and over and over.
They see a black face, white face, brown face lie to them about know cover-ups.
They see their lives gripped in fear porn while their government is supposedly protecting them.
They see their fellow citizen die in the streets and bombed in parking garages and go on as if it’s business as usual.
They see tax cuts for the rich while the middle class is down graded to lower class and the poor become obsolete. 
They see their freedoms of speech and assembly severely curtailed behind barb wire fences, tear gas, mace and militarized police.
They see their lives being under surveillance 24/7 and their privacy stripped to the bone.
They see whistle blowers jailed, killed and demonized.
They see the polluting of the air, water and food by corporations and banksters with no oversight or convictions for their crimes.
They see their country go to foreign lands and kill innocent people on a lie and no one is convicted of war crimes.
They are subject to invasive fondling by the TSA and are humiliated at airports and traffic stops.
They have to lock themselves in their homes and have armed police at their children’s schools.
They are told over and over again that the government is for the people, yet day in and day out they see lobbyists steal the allegiance of their representatives thru bribes and payoffs.
They are of the illusion that they cannot govern themselves so they gladly pay taxes to and for their representatives to lie, cheat and steal from the tax payer by blowing up other countries with money that could rebuild large portions of the infrastructure in the US.
They watch their government arm the so called rebels when they can see that in doing so it prolongs a regime change war that never ends but revels from one “axis of evil” country to another.
They see them bail out corrupt bankers and foreclose on the homes of hard working citizens. 
They watch their government send money overseas to victims of so called natural disasters while the Katrina victims are still displaced.
They cannot see blue skies or stars at night and believe their government when it tells them bogus weather reports about what is happening with the weather.
They walk in a fog created by mind control and the illusion of democracy which was never really what this country stood for.
They actually believe that the Masonic, Jesuit, banking cartel that pinned the constitution had them in mind.
They believe that the earth they walk upon stained with the blood of millions of indigenous peoples and millions more of enslaved, tortured and brutalized blacks, can be free.
They are walking and living in a nightmare calling it a dream. 
The American voter is so lost in the illusion of inclusion, they actually believe their vote will make a difference. 
So to answer your question, I do not vote for politicians. I vote with my dollars. I vote with my mind in resisting tyranny and doing research about what is really going on. I vote by reading and comparing the so called facts about this world.
I vote by doing all I can to stay in alignment with my Divinity and purpose on this planet.
I follow laws put forth. But I will not agree to their unrighteousness.
I vote by avoiding plastics and recycling the ones I do use.
I vote by being conscious of how I consume energy and by purchasing only what I need.
I vote by avoiding pharmaceuticals and using all natural products for healing and cleansing.
I vote by being conscientious about what I put into my body.
I vote by not owning a television or paying a cable bill.
I vote by sharing what I have with others who may need it.
It may not be much, but I don’t participate in their holidays, or shop at Walmart.
My vote is to boycott wherever and when ever I can. 

If folks say that every vote counts than my little efforts should count as well.

Why do people think that if Bill Cosby had NBC that would make him more powerful. Come on Folks!! NBC????

What makes folks think that that is power? And what makes people think that if he got it and did all that stuff that folks think the Powers that Be don’t want him to do, that he would be successful? A take down is a take down and they don’t care what kind of Psuedo power you have. Besides, it’s commerce… people really don’t have a clue how this shithole works when it comes to fame, money, fame, money, politics, fame, money and corruption…
Even Ruppert Murdock has some running competition and he owns a bunch of media. Don’t get it twisted folks. Cosby would have to be in a whole other league to be untouchable. Perhaps create his own TV Network? Perhaps, but buying NBC is so laughable and people keep saying this over and over.
His power days have long since been gone. And when he had it, that was the time to really do something for the Black Community.
If they really wanted to shake him down, they would have “allowed” the buy out and then expose him to the world, what better way to pull the rug out from under him.
Cosby said “No” to somebody, and that did not go over well. So they launched a well hidden campaign to defame him in the eyes of the masses. This campaign has been hidden for some time, and held on to, for just the right moment and then, boom to the moon!
 Okay, for the sake of argument, let’s say that the conjecture that Cosby was gonna change the stereotypes of blacks in the media and that it was gonna make a big difference int he black community and that this difference was gonna scare white folks so much so they had to take Cosby down. Let’s just say you might have a point.
Now.
Let’s take a look at reality. If all it took was righteous examples of Black Folks in the media to change things around, how come there are hardly any, no where? Is everyone who comes up with the idea being threatened with a take down?
No, in fact Spike Lee did his fair share of changing that image and you see what happened to him right? I ain’t just talking about what the elite did to him. I am talking about what Black Folks did to him.
Black folks support shows that are very stereotypical. They support the rap artists

that talk about bitches and hoes and gangsters and drugs. They watch BET and the TV shows. And the MEDIA knows that!! Black folks participate quite handsomely in their own demise.

Look at the food we eat, the music we listen to, the TV shows we watch. If there was no market for it, then it would not sell and they would have stopped portraying Black folks like that a long time ago.
So the idea that Cosby was gonna do ANYTHING is laughable, because Black folks would soon tire of a zillion Cosby Shows and Fat Alberts. And we have to face that fact. If it were not for Blacks spending their money on the things that destroy them, there would be no market for the stereotypes. Cosby would soon have to fold because nobody would be watching his boring, tired, unexciting network full of do-gooder black folks, going to college and having their own businesses, being respectful to each other and helping the homeless. GIVE ME A BREAK! That network would fold in 6 months for lack of advertisement sales and viewers. Let’s be serious.
People wanna see muck, mire, debauchery, crime, punishment, illicit sex, scandal, corruption, etc. That is why it sells. Do you think Oprah is living high off the hog with her whining and crying Network?? Heck no, she don’t care now cause she don’t need the money!! LOL
Black folks need to stop being apologists for Cosby and open their eyes. It’s a rabbit hole and it’s way deeper than you think.

As far as the Media is concerned, Blacks have got to stop blaming the white man for their depictions of stereotypes! If you don’t like it, don’t buy it, don’t buy their music, don’t buy their fashion and cosmetic lines, don’t support any artists who are not uplifting and liberating the Black community. Don’t support businesses that do not support the Black community. Don’t go to their institutions of learning and stay the hell out of their jails.

Blacks complain and complain about White Supremacy in one breath and support the Machine in the next. That is why the idea is laughable because the Machine knows that the majority of Black folks would not support a Network that wasn’t catering to the lowest most defiled images of Black Folks, they know that and that is why they are rich because of it.

We really gotta wake up to what is happening and take responsibility for our actions and stop blaming the white man!
